Check carefully the following:
1.- Your router and firewall grants access through the port on which you are broadcasting, usually 8080.
2.- Copy the file webcamxp.swf from you WebcamXP/webfiles folder to the Joomla root folder.
3.- In the component administration settings, the data are correct (mainly, your IP and port), and should be the ones provided by WebcamXP.
Also, try this:
if the IP and port that WebcamXP is broadcasting on are 111.222.333.444:8080,
write that URL on your browser and check if that is working.
Step by step:
1)The version of webcamXP you are using is 2007 or 2008, not webcamXP5
2)Connect the cam to your PC. Run the webcamXP and see, under the tab "Sources Monitor" if its working.
3) Once it is working, go to the tab "web/broadcasting", click on "Search WAN IP" so your IP is refreshed.
4) Check that the port is 8080 (or the one you want to work with).
5) Click on "web server (HTTP)"
6) After that, write the IP : Port on the browser and see what you get. You should see a website generated by WebcamXP, with you webcam displaying images.
If this does not work, please contact the developers of WebcamXP ,
http://webcamxp.com so they can help you further.
7) Now you know it works, install the component on your Joomla site with the data you are asked.
8)Copy the file webcamxp.swf from you WebcamXP/webfiles folder to the Joomla root folder.
That should be enough to display your cam on your Joomla site.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
Raśl.
