Publish Content in Multiple Joomla Sites from your main site
This is a component for publishing your contents from a main site to your multiple remote sites. You can send to these sites many articles at once, what makes you save your time.
If you manage more than one Joomla sites and want to send content to them, this component is for you. The remote sites can be hosted on any server. Multi Publishing Content does not make any limitation about this.
The component must be installed in Joomla 1.5 but you can send/publish content in both Joomla 1.5 or 1.0.x.
1.- Simplicity for multiple sites
From your admin interface you can easily: > Classify your multiple sites into categories, so the content can be sent to a category instead of choosing sites manually. > Copy the content sections and categories from the main site to the remote sites. > Choose your articles and the destination sites and send the content in just one click.
2.- No need to contact your Hosting Provider It is made in a way that you don't need special permissions to access to the remote database. It is achived by installing a wrapper in the remote site from which the component can access to the database. Your security is not compromised because the wrapper needs the db settings to work, and they are only stored in your main site.
3. Multi Publishing Content does not limit the number of sites to manage You can add as many sites as you want. If you manage a big amount of sites, we reccommend you to define a category tree and then classify the sites among the categories created.
4. Multi Publishing Content does not limit the amount of content you can publish to your multiple sites The only limitation you will find on the sending process is set by your hosting provider, because the connections and data transfers take a long time. If your hosting provider doesn't offer you a reasonable max_execution_time, we reccommend you to install the component in a localhost you can control. Maybe this is the best solution to take the maximum out of the Multi Publishing Content.
5. What do I need to start using the component? Once you install the component, you need the FTP and database settings of your remote sites, so you can add them to the "Sites" list. As it has been told before, you can create some categories to classify the sites.
When you save a site, it is necessary to check its status. It is needed to see if the settings you input were correct. If everything is OK, the site is ready to start receiving content from the main site. If it isn't, the site is ignored.
If the site status is OK you can also send to it your current sections and categories, so you can maintain a similar structure. It is made under the menu "Categories for Content".
For sending the content to your remote sites, go to the "Publish Content" menu. From here just two steps: first, choose the set of sites that will receive the content and second, select the articles. The state of the article will be copied, which means, if the site is published or not and if the site is published on front page.
---------------
In conclusion, the Multi Publishing Content component has been designed for webmasters who manage multiple Joomla sites. It is possible to send to each one of that sites the same content (one or more than one articles) at once, making it extremely easy the publication of a big amount of articles in a variety of remote sites.
