How to install IonCube Loaders 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
The Multi Publishing Content component needs some libraries to run properly, which can be found here:
http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

Just unzip the package in a folder on your server and run ioncube-loader-helper.php

Follow the instructions,it's easy.

Raśl

Re:How to install IonCube Loaders 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I am desperate.
I have installed the ioncube php loader (ioncube_loader_lin_5.1.so)successfully (phpinfo shows:
This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.1.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2006 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd.)
The file resides in /usr/local/ioncube/ owner:root group:root CHMOD:777.
Now I have downloaded an successfully installed the Multipublishing Content (php5 Version for Joomla 1.5.x) for testing purposes, as I really need such a component.
When I now click >components>Multipublishing Content>FAQ (for example) then only a popup window opens asking me if I want to open or download an index.php file, and I cannot proceed any further.
I have a clean online installation, which I only use for testing, without additional stuff or plugins etc.
What might be wrong? Do I may be need to chg the owner/group rights of the file and folder to wwwrun www? or what could I do? Thank you so much for a quick reply!

Re:How to install IonCube Loaders 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
No, I don't even get there, because I can't proceed anymore after choosing the dropdown >component>Multip. Content.
As described, if then in the drop down I try to click let's say FAQ, that's where the index.php appears...
Or, simple: I cannot open the component itself at all.
I have full access rights, no safemode problems or that kind of thing, can (normally) easily install and handle all kind of components and extenions w.o. any problem. I have php 5.1.2 and OS suse linux 10.2, no thread safety problem etc.
@Before I installed the ioncube loader, the component would show an error message, saying that I need to install the ioncube loader.
So at least, the component now identifies that there is something. I really cannot figure out, what's wrong.

Do you have any suggestion for me?
What I found out is that on multithreaded servers (the one I have) dl () may not work, and so runtime will not work.

Hi!

I've been looking for the cause to your problem, but I couldn't find anything clear. Possibly there is some issue with the ionCube loaders and your server configuration, but I'm not quite sure. Could you try contacting ionCube and tell them if there is any known issue regarding the loaders?

Anyway, the nature of your problem seems to be out of the realms of the support we can provide. I know this can be dissapointing reading this but there are some servers under which this component may not work.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards,
Raśl.

Re:How to install IonCube Loaders 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I contacted my provider and Ioncube as well. According to them everything is installed and set up correctly on my root server.
From what I read in other blogs, there are a lot of people who encounter these kind of problems -"blank page"- with ioncube encoded applications, especially those, who have php5 Versions, as with the new versions -from what I read-, runtime should not be possible anymore, and you have to do it the way I did -manually- and include ioncube to a root directory & modify the php.ini. As not everyone can do that -most people have shared webspaces- more people (will) fail to get ioncube encoded applications running, when their servers are upgraded to php5. I really would like to buy your program, because it exactly meets my requirements. I understand that a programer would like to protect his code from being illegally distributed. But on the other hand: easy set up and accessability are also important for software products. Personally I would like to have a program just running, and I am willing to pay a fair price for that, because the functionality will save me precious time. Anyhow, thank you, I think I have to wait for another extension, as long as the ioncube issue cannot be solved.

I am so sorry for that.

I hope you understand that I wanted to offer this software the cheapest I could, but as I could protect the code from being copied. I know that is not the ideal situation because as, in your case, my software can not reach some people.

I do apologise again.

Raśl.

Re:How to install IonCube Loaders 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello,

I've installed the component in Joomla, but when I go to "Sites" in the menu, I get this error:

Site error: the file /home/ayva/administrator/components/com_multip/admin.multip.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

I've downloaded ioncube for Linux, unzipped and uploaded files to /home/ayva/ioncube/. Then I've added this line into php.ini:

zend_extension = /home/ayva/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so

Then I've restarted server.

But the error is still there.

I wonder how can I fix it? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

I have an account on hostmonster too : to install the component multipublish content, I modified the php.ini in the public_html directory. I added the line
zend_extension_ts=/home/your_account/public_html/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2_ts.so
Of course, you have to download and install the file ioncube_loader_lin_5.2_ts.so from the website of ioncube.
Regards
