i don't know y am getting this error "Error: Invalid Feed or conection error" when adding the rss feeds.

e.g. rss:
http://my.abcnews.go.com/rsspublic/fp_rss20.xml
http://www.b92.net/info/rss/vesti.xml

I can add rules,categories,setting,etc but couldn't able to rss feeds always get the same error for all type of rss feeds.



Anyone got any solution ?

Hi,
There is a known issue with that.
There are some possible reasons:

1.- The host on which the component is installed does not allow some internal functionalities of the component due to conection security, or that kind of things.
2.- The rss are not compatible with the actual version of the component.

Both of this issues are priority on my TODO list for the next version of the Virtual Newspaper Manager.

I host with GoDaddy and am receiving the Invalid Feed or Connection Error message. Do you know if GoDaddy has the connection security that would prevent VNM from running correctly? If so, do you know how I can fix it?

Well, I have an "Economy Hosting" account at godaddy and the VNM is not working properly...so as far as I know we'll have to wait to the new version, under which I expect to improve compatibility among servers.

Any rss feed that i try to add give me the same error.

Can you say us wich is the problem exactly i can try to ask at the provvider to solve it.

When I add a new feed, joomla give me the message: "Error: Invalid Feed or conection error".

Whilst this seems like a good component, I couldn't get it to work. I never heard from "support", so I couldnt wait any longer and had to go out and get JoomRSS. It works like I want it to, and the support is great!

I found the solution (for my case) by setting correctly my .htaccess.

First of all: disable your .htaccess (if you have any) and test it.Let me know if it solve your problem.
