When you ADD,SAVE or APPLY a RSS Feed it stores the publishing date of the last item created by the author.

If you try to import news just after adding the feed, you won't get any because the component downloads only the news published after the date stored for each feed.
You can change the Publishing date to an earlier date and you'll get news published from the day you entered.

For example, add this feed to your RSS feeds list (in the component):
http://rss.elmundo.es/rss/descarga.htm?data2=4
Then check the feed and click on the button Download News. Probably you'll get no news.

Now edit the feed, changing the Publishing Date to one day earlier. Save it and download news again.
Now you'll get all the news published from the date you entered.

Is it possible to download full articles?

I am having a problem of getting the articles to display. I have followed the directions in the quickstart guide but its not working. I can get the feeds to import to articles, i can see the articles in the article list but cant figure out why they are not showing in the front page area. Maybe I dont have the category setup up correct, im not sure and I'm new to this. Can you help me? I'm build a community website and trying to provide area news and other things!!!

Some publishers limit the content to their feed sources purposely so that we can't always download the entire article (automatically). In that event, when I find a good article that should be displayed in full without going to source, I'd do this manually.

Is it true that some feeds just aren't compatible with this system? For instance...can anyone import news from http://www.sailing-newsfeeds.com/feed/rss/ ??

When i use the module, it adds a category for Miscelánea that does not show in my backend as one of my categories. How can i remove that?

I am haivng the same problem, it keeps telling me no Item saved. I tried with different feeds, different rules, many combinations but no result, so far it worked only with cnn, which I don't need
