What to enter in the 'Site URL' field when ordering a license
Tuesday, 04 March 2008

Important note!

Each license will work on only one website, that's why we need the exact Site URL. To get it, first you have to install the component in the site you want it to work. This image shows where you have to copy the Site URL from:

What to enter in the Site URL field

If you enter the wrong value in 'Site URL' when ordering a license key it will not work and you will have to order an additional license key using the correct value. Refunds and replacements are NOT issued if you enter the wrong value so make sure you fully understand this page before ordering a license key!

Each key is generated for a non localhost site, but it will work on the site it was generated for and in your localhost site. So we recommend you apply for a key (trial or full) for your online site because you can use it both for the online site and the localhost one. However, if you still  want to apply just for a localhost license there is no problem. Localhost addresses are those that start with "localhost" or "127.0.0.1"

Our components are licensed to a particular website, not to a particular domain. So if you have more than one Mambo or Joomla website on your domain (eg. if you have an additional installation in a sub-folder or a sub-domain), you would need a separate license key for each site.

Example:

If you use your joomla on the domain_root, then you need to enter http://www.Example.com. If you are using joomla installation in a directory like http://www.Example.com/my/joomla/installation then you
need to fill in the license the complete URL (including the directory).

Case a)
Joomla installation:
http://www.Example.com/
License URL:
http://www.Example.com

Case b)
Joomla installation:
http://www.Example.com/my/joomla/installation
License URL:
http://www.Example.com/my/joomla/installation
